Challenge: Hilton Gold VS Marriott Gold
Marriott Bonvoy offers a challenge, especially if you want to achieve Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status. If you stay 8 nights within 3 months, you can get Gold status instead of the usual 25 nights. These three months start from the end of the current month. For example, whether you start on June 1st or June 30th, you must complete the challenge by September 30th. So, applying for the challenge at the beginning of the month is helpful, as you will have more time. The key to the challenge is the checkout date, not the booking date.
But, Hilton Honors also offers a challenge. If you want to get Gold status, you need to stay 8 nights within 90 days, which will allow you to maintain your Gold membership until March 31, 2026. Typically, Hilton Gold Status requires 40 elite nights to upgrade, but through this challenge. you only need to stay 8 nights within 90 days to directly upgrade to Gold status.
